The Village Vintage & Arts Bazaar
Formally 4th Sunday MainStrasse Antiques, Etc., now in its 5th year, is making itself over by adding art and a funkiness to the mix. Now described as a marketplace with purveyors of art, antique, vintage and re-purposed items such as furniture, home goods and decor, architectural elements, tools, jewelry, clothing, gadgets, collectibles and more, organizers want to attract more vendors and more shoppers. This outdoor event is still every 4th Sunday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., April – October, and the first date of 2013 will be Sunday, April 28. The Bazaar is free to shoppers, and all are welcome to browse and buy from vendors lining the 6th Street promenade in MainStrasse Village in Covington, KY and encouraged to eat at one of the nearby locally-owned restaurants and check out the cool shops afterwards, like Julie’s Inspiration Consignment Shoppe, who will be open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. for their 8th Annual Spring Vintage Trunk Show. To support the local community, each month The Village Vintage & Art Bazaar is planning on hosting art from a local school or non-profit organization. For April, in celebration of Earth Day, students from St. Joseph Camp Springs Elementary School will be displaying their re-purposed art projects. Grades 5 through 8 created Kinetic Sculptures using re-purposed metal hardware, scrap objects and wire. Grades K-4 welcomed Spring by recycling bottle caps to make their artwork. Artists and antique vendors interested in setting up may call 859-468-4820 or e-mail 4thSunday@fuse.net. Rates start at just $40, with a $10 discount if paid prior to the day of the show. More information is available at www.4thSunday.blogspot.com. From I-75/I-71, take the Covington 5th Street Exit #192, and continue east on 5th Street to the 2nd traffic light at Main Street. Turn right and go one block to 6th Street. From Downtown Cincinnati, travel west on Third Street, and turn left onto the Clay Wade Bailey Bridge. Go straight ahead to 6th Street. Free parking is available on the streets or in the 5th Street Parking Lot between Philadelphia and Main Streets. The Village Vintage & Arts Bazaar is sponsored by the MainStrasse Village Association.

Paddle Williamstown
Enjoy Northern Kentucky’s largest lake…safely! Explore nearly 350 acres of calm, flat water paddling on Williamstown Lake as you pass by over 450 waterline properties. During the hours of Paddle Williamstown powerboat traffic on Williamstown Lake will be restricted (no wake). Which means you can enjoy the beautiful scenery without having to worry about wake boarders, water skiers, tubers or jet skiers. You’ll share the lake only with fellow kayakers and canoers.
Don’t have a Canoe or Kayak of your own? A limited number of kayaks and canoes will be available to rent. No shuttle fees! No parking fees! No launch fees! Even on those so-called “free” paddles, you may end up getting nickel-and-dimed from these hidden costs. With your Paddle Williamstown registration, there will be no unseen fees! It’s free parking and launching!
